So here is the whole cake with the flowers on top. I wish I had made them
larger, but oh well. Also my icing was way too soft, so it didn’t crust
like it should have and stayed really soft and droopy. But everyone loved
it!! Lol The top layer was chocolate and the bottom layer was butter cake.
This was my first tiered cake! Yay!
I know I’ve been a bad blogger… Just been busy with custom charm
orders, craft fairs every Saturday, and getting all of my grandmothers
photos scanned before thanksgiving! Whew!
Tonight I worked on some fondant roses for a cake I’m doing for
thanksgiving. We do a ladies tea party the day after and I’m making a
cake for it this year. They turned out pretty good so far! Four down,
six more to go!

Jack got back in the room a little after 5:00 pm. He ate a little bit
and used the bathroom, so we are just waiting for the nurse to come
take out the IV and discharge him. He is doing good, feeling ok but
seems a bit groggy.
It has been a LONG day!

And he’s going into surgery. Doc said it should take 40 minutes once
they are in.

Passing the time in pre-op… Knitting a scarf! It’s actually
supposed to get down close to freezing temps tomorrow, so he’d better
get knitting! LOL

They’re already taking him to stage 2 pre-op. That’s where the OR
nurses, anesthesiologists, etc come see us. Shouldn’t be long now,
maybe 1 hour to surgery.

We’re here in pre-op. Jack is answering questions from the nurse right
now. He’s scheduled for surgery at 2:15 pm, but past experience tells
me that we’ll be running late! LOL How long the surgery will be is
anyone’s guess. We’ve heard 30 minutes and we’ve heard 2 and a half
hours! So we shall see!
I’ll update later as I can.

This weekend I did my first craft show with my soldered charms. It was
at a local high school benefitting the band boosters. Very cool! And
I did pretty good too… So good that I’m doing another one this
weekend! LOL

Jack’s going back in for more surgery next week. Outpatient surgery, but nonetheless, it’s another surgery. I think we’re up to number 19. Dr. Kelton, the plastic surgeon, wants to do a flap and see if that works. We’ll see how it goes…. please keep us in your prayers!
So Jack and I got up early to beat the crowd this morning… Only
there was no crowd! At least at our polling place. We were number 3 &
4! LOL.
